Gantt charts are the bar charts which illustrate project schedules representing the tasks and the time span for the completion of the tasks. Gantt charts have two axis; one is horizontal and the other is vertical. The horizontal axis represents the total time that is required for the completion of the projects. The vertical axis represents the different tasks required to complete the projects. The project managers can closely monitor, if there are some tasks that are taking longer to finish or has been completed ahead of the schedule, and accordingly the subsequent activities can be planned.
