Why did you appear in SCJP Certification?
 

I actually got re-certified in SCJP. I had achieved SCJP 1.2 in the year 2000. In the past few years, there were many changes in Java technology, and so I decided that it was time I upgraded my level of knowledge as well.
I prepared for SCJP certification from Whizlabs mock exams, and other study materials such as websites and books like HeadFirst series. My work experience in Java development also helped me in preparing for the exam objectives.

How to prepare for SCJP Certification Exam?
 

You should prepare thoroughly for the objectives. Your concepts should be clear. And for that, read and understand the concepts along with practicing them on Java platform. Best preparation is done by keeping the following in mind: "I read I forget, I write I remember, I do I understand"!
