Why did you appear in SCJP Certification?

Initially, it was my desire to get fully acquainted with all the know-how's of JAVA which later turned into getting this coveted certificate,after one of my friends told me about its importance in the technical field. As, i was already working on various projects in JAVA platform, i heeded that advice started preparing for SCJP 1.6 with full verve.

How to prepare for SCJP Certification Exam?

In the beginning I went through all the theoretical aspects related to the exam, which covered all the exam objectives mentioned in the official course content. It was only after I was through with all the theoretical intricacies that i started giving as many mock exams as i could(available online as well as those which i got from my seniors)

What resources did you use for your preparation and how these resources helped you?

For theoretical aspects i relied on Head First Series book by Kathy Sierra(both for SCJP as well as for SCWCD).It was of great help as it covered all the fine details related with the exam objectives.For giving the final touch to my preparations i relied on mock exams by Whizlab. Those exams were of great help as they filled the gaps present in my preparations as well as gave some much needed self confidence.

Your inputs on the kind of questions one should expect?

I must say one should have some hands on experience especially in topic like threading to gain confidence. Besides that, questions that appear in the actual exam are somewhat a balanced mixture of both practical theoretical intricacies.

Tips and Ticks for the Exam?

Go for as many mock exams as you can (especially those which are available online)
