  9. Quality Audit – Can he directly interact with the internal and external audit teams regarding the serviceability of the product?
  10. Updated technologies – Has he updated himself with the latest technologies, and conducted appropriate trainings for his team members.

How to address these challenges if you are the project leader

  1. If you are not using your knowledge, you should try to switch to other project where you can use both your knowledge and experience.
  2. You can share your good and bad experiences with your team at regular intervals, so that they do not repeat the same mistakes.
  3. To align your vision with the company’s vision, you must check the company’s three year roadmap.
  4. In case you do not have any say in resource and technology selection, you should put your thoughts and recommendations in front of your seniors.
  5. You can share your feedback in the performance appraisal cycle of the team members you want to reward or penalize.
  6. Talk to your manager if your profile is not matching with your designation.
  7. Be very careful while communicating confidential data, check the communication management plan of the project before sending any communication related to that project.
  8. Seek an honest feedback from your seniors and peers.
  9. Go through the quality reports of other projects and check with your manager about your part.
  10. Update yourself by doing certifications and trainings regularly so that you are updated with latest technologies in the market.
